JOHANNESBURG - Mpumalanga taxi boss Bafana Oupa Sindane has filed another urgent application in the Gauteng High Court, this time seeking to interdict the use of his WhatsApp messages at the Madlanga Commission.
The messages were retrieved by the Mpumalanga Organised Crime Unit and handed over to the Commission’s Recommendations Task Team.
This is Sindane’s second attempt to interdict proceedings at the Commission. Last week, he filed an urgent application seeking to prevent him from testifying.

Sindane is challenging the manner in which his electronic devices were handed over to the task team.
He is expected to testify before the Commission on Monday, with his evidence likely to focus on alleged networks and connections within the taxi industry.
His testimony was due to follow that of his associate and fellow taxi boss, Joe “Ferrari” Sibanyoni.
Sindane and Sibanyoni are also co-accused in an extortion and money-laundering case.
