PLETTENBERG BAY - The Deputy Mayor of Bitou Municipality claims the gun she was seen firing in a video is a toy.
Nokuzola Kolwapi was caught on camera firing a handgun into the air.
She says it was to celebrate her son's Umgidi.

Police are investigating the incident, but no arrests have been made as yet.
The ANC is calling for swift action against the Ikhwezi Political Movement leader.
It says public representatives are entrusted with upholding the law and must behave better.
Kolwapi says she's been targeted by her political opponents and because she's a woman.
