Brothers charged with AKA's murder abandon bail

DURBAN - The Ndimande brothers, linked to the murder of rapper AKA and celebrity chef Tibz have abandoned their bail application.

Siyabonga and Malusi Ndimande made a brief appearance in the Durban Magistrate's Court on Friday. In a last minute change, they opted to remain in custody.

The case has been postponed to 17 April when they will be served with indictments to join the other five murder accused who are expected to stand trial this year.

The brothers were extradited from Eswatini in November after a lengthy legal battle.

That's after they abandoned their application to challenge their extradition.

AKA and Tibz were gunned down outside the now-defunct Wish restaurant in Durban in February 2023.
