Ndimande brothers want out of supermax prison

DURBAN - The Ndimande brothers will return to court on 4 March for the AKA and Tibz murder case.

Siyabonga and Malusi Ndimande appeared briefly before the Durban magistrate's court on Friday.

They requested a move from eBongweni Supermax prison in Kokstad to Westville Correctional Centre.

They claim their current detention limits access to lawyers.

The duo were extradited from Eswatini in November after a lengthy legal battle.

That's after they abandoned their application to challenge their extradition.

They joined the other five murder accused who are expected to stand trial this year.

AKA and Tibz were gunned down outside the now-defunct Wish restaurant in Durban in February 2023.
