CAPE TOWN - Western Cape police have confiscated almost 1,500 illegal guns since April.
Most were found in 13 gang hotspot areas being targeted by various law enforcement agencies.
But it's a raid on a flat in Bellville on Monday morning, where 14 firearms were found, that's got tongues wagging.

According to police intelligence, the firearms had been transported from KwaZulu-Natal to Cape Town.
But the eight men apprehended in the flat were released as the NPA sent the docket back to the SAPS for further investigation.
