JOHANNESBURG - A close associate of alleged underworld figure Vusumuzi “Cat” Matlala has been arrested in Pretoria.
The suspect is accused of allegedly falsifying bank statements for Matlala to secure his R95,000 lease agreement.
Matlala allegedly applied for the lease agreement using his eSwatini identity document.
In June, the man was taken in for questioning by the Political Killings Task Team (PKTT).
His Pretoria East residence was also raided by members of the PKTT at the time.
He was later released.
