DA threatens to interdict NDPP interviews

JOHANNESBURG - The DA has threatened to interdict the National Director of Public Prosecutions interviews. 

Justice Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi says she received through the party's lawyers making the threat.

Kubayi responded at the start of the interviews saying the threat has no merit.

No public comments were sent to the department prior to the interviews according to Kubayi.

The department's lawyers will be responding to the DA.

Interviews are underway at the Justice Department in search for a replacement for NPA head Shamila Batohi as her term comes to an end in January.

Six candidates have been shortlisted and will undergo interviews on Wednesday and Thursday.
