e-Hailing drivers: Regulate us so we can work freely

DURBAN - Two suspects have been arrested for an attack on two e-hailing drivers in KwaDabeka, west of Durban.

They face charges of assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm.

Police initially took 17 people in for questioning and recovered 12 licensed firearms.

The incident is the latest in ongoing disputes between taxi operators and e-hailing drivers.

Both sectors are calling for regulations.

Wednesday’s attack has reignited fear among e-hailing drivers in KwaZulu-Natal.
