CAPE TOWN - Western Cape traffic authorities are shifting gears in their approach to tackling road safety this Easter Weekend.
A total of 33 people died on the province's roads over the same period last year and officials are on a mission to drive down these figures.
Officials will be focusing on roaming traffic blitzes as opposed to static roadblocks.

At the Huguenot Toll Plaza, provincial traffic authorities are collaborating with the SAPS to enforce the rules of the road.
As traffic authorities grapple to reduce the number of road fatalities, particularly over holiday periods, traffic management bodies have reiterated calls for drivers to play their part.
