JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng parents are being urged to enrol their children in satellite schools to ease overcrowding.
The department has identified 292 primary schools and 277 secondary schools under high pressure.

Gauteng Education spokesperson Steve Mabona said they have to alleviate the pressure in some areas.
"There is reluctancy from parents who don’t want to take their children there but we are encouraging them to bring their children there," he said.
