CAPE TOWN - The EFF argues that Finance Minister, Enoch Godongwana, was deceptive with how he communicated the VAT increase to Parliament and the public.
The party's lawyer, Advocate Tembeka Ngcukaitobi, has told the Western Cape High Court that Godongwana misled MPs by creating the impression that the hike could be changed when it was already a done deal.

The DA and EFF are in court to try and halt the VAT hike.
Although Parliament adopted the fiscal framework earlier this month, both parties argue that the process was unconstitutional and deceptive.
