Eskom employees to get 7% annual increase for next three-years

JOHANNESBURG - Eskom has concluded wage negotiations with the National Union of Mineworkers and Solidarity.

Under the agreement, employees will receive a 7 percent annual increase for the next three years.

The utility said the agreement is binding on all workers, including Numsa-affiliated employees, who have not accepted the offer.

Eskom believes the multi-year agreement reduces the volatility associated with annual bargaining cycles.

It's targeting more than R100-billion in cost savings over the next five years.
