Feroz Khan fights to recover seized devices

JOHANNESBURG - Crime Intelligence deputy head Major-General Feroz Khan is urgently seeking the return of devices seized during his arrest earlier this month.

Khan says the warrantless search at his home on 10 May 2026 was unlawful and unconstitutional.

In court papers, he warns that the devices contain information on undercover operations, political killings, and gang violence investigations.

He warns that unrestricted access could compromise national security and put lives at risk.

Khan was arrested for the alleged unlawful possession of unprocessed gold.

The SAPS is opposing the application, with the matter expected to be heard later this week.
