Feroz Khan takes fight for devices to high court

JOHANNESBURG - Crime Intelligence deputy head Feroz Khan wants his electronic devices back.

Khan has taken the matter to the South Gauteng High Court, with his urgent application set to be heard on Thursday.

He argues that the devices, seized during a search of his home contain highly sensitive intelligence information.

And the release of that information could compromise national security, jeopardise undercover operations and put lives at risk.

In court papers, Khan claims the devices contain information linked to investigations into political killings, gang violence and covert operations.

He also argues that the warrantless search conducted at his home two weeks ago,
was unlawful and unconstitutional.
