CAPE TOWN - Parliament's Impeachment Committee is fighting back against legal challenges from the EFF and the African Legal Professionals Association.
Committee chairperson Makashule Gana says they've filed their answering affidavit opposing the bid to block Advocate Thandazani Madonsela's removal as evidence leader.

The matter is set to be heard next month.
Gana says the committee will meanwhile work to finalise its terms of reference ahead of the court proceedings.
