JOHANNESBURG - South Africa has until November 2027 to file a reply to Israel's defence at the International Court of Justice.
The World Court accepted South Africa's request for at least 18 months to prepare its response.
Pretoria cited the complexity of the case and the staggering volume of Israel's Counter-Memorial.
It also raised the need to address specific legal objections regarding the court's jurisdiction.
President Cyril Ramaphosa says the risk of genocide is still clear, and Israel's self-defence argument is no justification.
