CAPE TOWN - Parliament is taking its fight to impeach President Cyril Ramaphosa to the apex court.
The Section 89 Committee is appealing a Western Cape High Court ruling that handed the president a temporary legal lifeline, effectively pausing his impeachment proceedings related to the Phala Phala scandal.
The EFF, ATM and MK party have also joined the application.

Last week, the president won a high court bid to stop the impeachment process while he challenges the findings of the Section 89 Independent Panel report.
The panel concluded that he had a case to answer over the theft of foreign currency from his Phala Phala farm.
