Intense rain and floods expected to hit Eastern, Western Cape

JOHANNESBURG - Weather warnings remain in place for the Eastern Cape and the Western Cape.

Four people have been killed in severe weather since Sunday. In the North West, a 12-year-old girl was washed away.

Schools in the Taung area remain closed.

Two people were killed in the Northern Cape, while a woman was killed in Knysna on Wedneday when a tree fell on her parked car.

An orange level 6 warning is still in place for the Garden Route.

A 125 schools have been shut down in the Western Cape as more heavy rains are expected.
