The Committee said they hope Sisisi Tolashe's dismissal will not impact vulnerable citizens.

Tolashe was fired by President Cyril Ramaphosa on Thursday following several allegations of misconduct against her.

It is alleged that she lied about the use of two luxury vehicles that she said had been donated to the ANC Women's League.

The vehicles were subsequently given to her children and registered in their names. This raised questions about transparency and accountability.

She is also accused of taking a trip to New York worth R3 million for two weeks in 2025. Tolashe was also criticised over the irregular appointments of key staff.

She was accused by a worker employed by government in her ministerial home of sharing half her salary with her daughter.

The President would not be drawn into giving a reason for her dismissal during a Parliamentary session on Thursday.

He said the President is not required to give reasons why he appoints or removes a member of the executive, and as such, he will stick to this practice.
