Jeffreys Bay babysitter back in court after attack on toddler

JEFFRYS BAY - The 59-year-old nanny accused of stabbing a toddler multiple times returns to court for bail application.

The 2-year-old girl was stabbed 15 times on New Year's Eve in Jeffrey's Bay after her mother had left her with the babysitter.

The woman appeared in the Humansdorp Magistrate's Court last week but the matter was postponed.

She is facing charges of child neglect and assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

The toddler is recovering in hospital.
