JMPD outlines G20 traffic plan

The NASREC precinct will be on strict lockdown until the summit concludes on Sunday.

Individuals without the required accreditation are urged to stay away during this period.

"Our role will be important, especially when it comes to traffic management. We do know that there will be a lot of movement of delegates from various points in and around Johannesburg," said JMPD spokesperson Xolani Fihla.

"It is important that officers are posted on the exact routes and intersections so that when the convoys move, there is smooth movement, but also to assist our residents to divert them from hose closures and ensure that they use alternative routes."
