The Commando System is critically low, with the Crosby and Brixton reservoirs barely supplying water.
The Hursthill 1 reservoir is undergoing leak repairs, which leaves high-lying areas without adequate supply.
Hursthill 2 has improved slightly, but still can't meet peak demand.
Officials say water tankers will be dispatched and further updates will follow as the system stabilises.
