JOHANNESBURG - With just over a week before Johannesburg steps onto the global stage for the G20 Summit, our city is already shifting gears.
On Saturday between 9am and 1pm, we will see a coordinated joint operation with the Road Traffic Management Cooperation, Gauteng Traffic and the JMPD.
This means temporary road closures, lane restrictions and stop-and-go moments across key routes.

Motorists and residents are being urged to plan ahead and to consider alternative routes where possible.
JMPD spokesperson Xolani Fihla said major national and regional roads will be affected.
"Once the operation has passed through the affected routes the roads will be reopened," he said.
