SALDANHA BAY - The state has finished its case for all three accused in the Joshlin kidnapping and human trafficking trial, to be convicted on both charges.
The state also wants the court to grant its star witness, Lourentia Lombaard, indemnity from prosecution.
It says her evidence should be accepted as reliable and trustworthy, even though it contained discrepancies.
The victim, Joshlin Smith, has still not been found, more than a year after she disappeared.
On Wednesday, the lawyers for the other two accused, Steveno van Rhyn and Kelly Smith, will present their final arguments.
Judge Nathan Erasmus is expected to deliver his judgment on Friday.
