UPDATE: Pre-trial hearing for Katiso Molefe set for March

JOHANNESBURG - The court has now confirmed a pre-trial sitting for 12 March for murder accused Katiso 'KT' Molefe.

He appeared in the South Gauteng High Court on Thursday morning.

Molefe and three others face charges linked to a string of high-profile killings.

He's charged alongside Michael Tau, Musa Kekana and Floyd Mabusela, who are also charged with the murder of businessman, Don Tindleni.

Molefe is also accused of being the mastermind behind the hits on DJs Sumbody and Vintos. 

He has been tied to Vusimuzi 'Cat' Matlala, and the pair are said to be members of the so-called Big 5 drug cartel.

Molefe and his co-accused are facing 35 charges, including murder, conspiracy to commit murder and the unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition. 

According to the state, forensic evidence links him to high-calibre weapons and points to him being the mastermind of the high-profile killings.
