Lesufi calls for increased investment in education

JOHANNESBURG - 'If we can't get education right, we'll never get the country right,' says Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi.

He was speaking ahead of the release of the 2025 matric results.

The Premier called for the education department to be protected from budget cuts.

Lesufi has also called for the intergration of technology in South Africa's education.

"Artificial intelligence cannot be for TikTok only," he said.

He called for the allowance of new technologies to drive innovation.
