JOHANNESBURG - Prosecutor Anton Ackermann is expected to be cross-examined at the TRC Cases Inquiry.
In March, he accused former president Thabo Mbeki's administration of shielding perpetrators.
Ackermann alleged it was the result of secret talks between the ANC government and apartheid-era generals.

Ackermann headed the Priority Crimes Litigation Unit investigating TRC cases.
He believes former justice minister Brigitte Mabandla ordered his removal from that unit.
Ackermann told the inquiry that the message came through then-acting NDPP Mokotedi Mpshe.
