PRETORIA - The Madlanga Commission has refused the postponement of Witness F’s testimony.
The Commission faced a delay on Tuesday with Witness F's testimony after his legal representatives applied for a postponement.
Witness F's attorneys said that at the directive of their client, they had launched a High Court application to restrict the Commission not to compel Witness F to appear or answer any questions.
The witness, who is allegedly linked to a Big 5 cartel associate, asked to be excused from the Commission, with his lawyer citing self-incrimination fears.

They wanted a postponement pending the court decision.
His attorney, Hartley Ngoato said: “Whatever he comes here and says may not change the narrative. It is more likely that he will incriminate himself in any answer that he gives.”
However, the Commission was not persuaded by the witness’s argument and ruled that his testimony should continue. The Commission slammed the witness's high court action as being fact-devoid.
