JOHANNESBURG - The Constitutional Court will hold a special sitting this Thursday morning to mark the retirement of acting Deputy Chief Justice, Mbuyiseli Madlanga.
Justice Madlanga is retiring after 12 years of distinguished service in the apex court.
In that time he's earned a reputation as a formidable and selfless jurist.
Chief Justice Mandisa Maya will lead the ceremonial session, which will be attended by leading figures from the legal fraternity, as well as members of the executive and Parliament.
At 63, Madlanga is preparing for his next assignment, as chairperson of the judicial commission of inquiry into alleged criminality, political interference, and corruption within the police service.
