Mamelodi rallies for answers as murdered twins remembered

JOHANNESBURG - Mamelodi residents are set to take to the streets on Thursday, picketing during the memorial service for murdered 14-year-old twins Bonolo and Botlhale Makena.

The community is demanding justice and answers following the deaths of the teenagers.

The twins were discovered by their mother inside their home on Friday.

Relatives say their cellphones and a PS4 console were among the items reportedly stolen during the attack.

There were reportedly no signs of forced entry, raising suspicions among the family that the perpetrator may have been known to the boys.

No arrests have been made yet.
