DURBAN – March and March leader Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma says a month after handing herself over to the police, she has still not been charged.
Ngobese-Zuma was accused of inciting public violence against undocumented foreign nationals.
Her organisation held protests outside Addington Primary School, demanding that South African children be prioritised in admissions.

“The police have not given us any feedback. Many weeks later, I am still waiting to hear what the actual charge is,” Ngobese-Zuma said.
She said she was only told a case was opened and that police were waiting for the NPA to prosecute.
“The case against me was opened by a certain police officer, whom they [police] have refused to name. It’s very ridiculous for them to try and use the law to intimidate people. I am not going to be intimidated by anyone,” she added.
