PRETORIA - Suspended National Police Commissioner General Fannie Masemola and other co-accused cops are back at the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court.
They have been charged in connection with the controversial R228-million Medicare24 tender.
While the other top cops are charged with corruption, Masemola faces a charge of contravening the Public Finance Management Act.
The state is expected to formally rejoin Vusimuzi "Cat" Matlala to the case.
The alleged crime kingpin had agreed to turn state witness but later changed his mind, making the plea deal invalid.
