CAPE TOWN - Proceedings of Parliament’s Ad Hoc Committee got off to a shaky start on Tuesday, after committee members accused Robert McBride of being arrogant and disrespectful.
The former head of IPID is facing claims that he and forensic investigator Paul O'Sullivan plotted to oust then Acting National Police Commissioner Khomotso Phahlane.
On Tuesday, McBride irked members of the Ad Hoc Committee after he refused to share his employment background and admitted to submitting an outdated CV.

EFF MP Leigh-Ann Mathys said McBride’s explanation of why he had submitted an old CV was unacceptable.
“It was a matter of just filling. Mr McBride is not taking this committee serious; it's like he's just indifferent. We’re not going to tolerate that behaviour, we can't start off on this note,” Mathys said.
“You can't be in the position that you're in and yet you cannot even give us an updated CV, it's wrong. Even to address us in the manner that you did, it's wrong," Mathys added.
