PRETORIA - The Pretoria High Court has lifted Tshwane City Manager Johann Mettler's suspension.
The court ruled that the special council vote to suspend him was unlawful.
The Democratic Alliance had filed an urgent court application to challenge resolutions taken during the 9 July sitting.

The party disputed the speaker's decision to exclude 13 votes from the DA and FF Plus on voting day.
Council Speaker Mncedi Ndzwanana had recorded the officials in question as being on leave.
The court found that the speaker had no authority to disregard the disputed votes.
The resolutions adopted at that meeting were set aside.
