Johannesburg mayor Dada Morero
JOHANNESBURG - The motion of no confidence against Johannesburg Mayor Dada Morero has been postponed.
The motion was proposed by Al Jama-ah.
It's the third motion the under-fire Morero has faced since taking office in 2024.
The City of Johannesburg council speaker says all motions have been deferred to consider the question of a secret ballot.
Meanwhile, the City of Johannesburg has voted to create a deputy mayor position.
The deputy mayor's annual salary will be R1.2-million, with associated benefits.
