JOHANNESBURG - Member of Parliament and National Coloured Congress leader Fadiel Adams is set to testify under subpoena before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry on Tuesday.
He is expected to face tough questioning about the unauthorised disclosure of classified state documents and his allegations of systemic corruption in South Africa’s criminal justice system.
In just a few hours, Member of Parliament Fadiel Adams will take the hot seat at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry. This is exactly what Adams has demanded on social media: a chance to clear his name.
Adams is facing serious charges of fraud and defeating the administration of justice.
He’s also at the centre of IDAC scandals, including allegations that authorities used questionable information from Adams to pursue investigations against senior police officers.
IDAC State Advocate Drushantha Ramsamy testified that Adams ought to have been charged for being in possession of Crime Intelligence information.
Evidence before the commission revealed that Adams’s original complaint did not legally fall within IDAC’s mandate or trigger a valid investigation.
