N12 reopened after protest over water and electricity

JOHANNESBURG - The N12 in the south of Johannesburg has been reopened following a protest by residents of an informal settlement, the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) has confirmed.

Residents barricaded the highway in the early hours of Monday morning, forcing its closure in both directions between Abu Baker Asvat Drive and K43 Klipspruit Valley in Lenasia.
