JOHANNESBURG - Bulk water supplier Rand Water is beginning the next phase of its critical maintenance.
The operation is expected to affect water supply in parts of Johannesburg, Tshwane, and Ekurhuleni.
It will run until 18 July.
The work includes pipe leak repairs and valve replacements.
They will impact the pumping capacity of the Eikenhof, Zwartkopjes and Palmiet systems.
Water tankers are being promised to be deployed to affected areas.
