JOHANNESBURG - Major-general Feroz Khan has been dismissed from the service.
This is according to police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe who confirmed this in a statement on Wednesday night.

The dismissal, according to Mathe, followings Khan's failure to "appear before the designated senior officer responsible for dealing with the expeditious disciplinary process".
"SAPS reiterates its commitment to accountability, discipline and professional conduct within the organisation. No member, regardless of rank or position, is above the law or the applicable disciplinary framework," Mathe said.
She said police continue to respect and abide by the decisions of the courts. a
This week Khan failed in his Labour Court bid to overturn his disciplinary process recommending his dismissal from the police.
