JOHANNESBURG - The National Prosecuting Authority will unconditionally withdraw fraud and corruption charges against Crime Intelligence head Dumisani Khumalo, Brigadier Dineo Mokwele and five others this Friday.
The charges relate to Mokwele’s appointment.
The decision follows representations from the accused and a memorandum from the Investigating Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC).

The charges were based on a politically motivated investigation driven by former IDAC head Andrea Johnson.
NDPP Andy Mothibi ordered the withdrawal of the charges in July, and the case cannot be re-enrolled without his written approval.
