Parliament's Ad Hoc Committee probing Mkhwanazi's claims awaits progress report

CAPE TOWN - Parliament's Ad Hoc Committee investigating allegations of corruption, political interference and malfeasance in the SAPS is set to receive a progress update.

The meeting comes amid the committee's concerns over KZN Police Commissioner, Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi’s failure to appear before Parliament this week.

He had until Tuesday to explain why he won't appear.

Mkhwanazi's allegations of high-level rot within the Criminal Justice system sparked both the Ad Hoc Committee and a Judicial Commission of Inquiry.
