JOHANNESBURG - The Judicial Commission of Inquiry looking into allegations of corruption within the SAPS says its intention is not to disrupt the work of the SAPS and it will protect anonymous witnesses.

The commission says Parliament's Ad-Hoc committee may still summon witnesses including KZN Police Commissioner, Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, afterwards.
Preparations to start as planned on 17 September are reportedly on track.
