Pule Mabe, co-accused back in court for multimillion rand tender case

JOHANNESBURG - Former ANC spokesperson Pule Mabe and several co-accused are back in the Palm Ridge Magistrate's Court.  

They face fraud and theft charges linked to a R27 million tender.

Mabe is accused of scoring the contract unlawfully with his company Enviro Mobi, in March 2017.

The tender involved the supply of 200 three waste vehicles, popularly known as tuk.

It included about R6 million in storage costs paid by the Gauteng government.    

Mabe insists he resigned as Enviro Mobi director before the tender was awarded.
