JOHANNESBURG - President Cyril Ramaphosa should not be treated in isolation from his party's decision to halt an impeachment process back in 2022. That's the view of political analyst Sandile Swana.
He has slammed the ANC Caucus' decision as "immoral" arguing that the matter should never have reached the courts.

Instead, Swana says the ANC's National Executive Committee (NEC) should have made the decision to allow the process to unfold through the impeachment process.
"Ramaphosa has been part of the ANC that protected him. He has not refused to be protected, even if that protection is illegal and immoral and irrational in terms of politicians advancing their careers and the fortunes of their political party at the expense of voters and taxpayers. He has been part of that. Ramaphosa is not innocent".
Swana adds that Parliament now finally has the chance to zero in on Ramaphosa's alleged conduct in the Phala Phala farm robbery saga that led to the theft of $580 000 US Dollars from the now infamous cattle farm.
