JOHANNESBURG - The Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) Commission of Inquiry has reserved its ruling on recusal applications by former Presidents Jacob Zuma and Thabo Mbeki.
Both are asking Chairperson Judge Sisi Khampepe to step aside.
The Commission, set up in May 2025, is investigating claims of political interference in the prosecution of apartheid-era crimes—allegations victims’ families say were deliberately ignored.
