JOHANNESBURG - The Chairperson of the Commission investigating alleged criminality, corruption and interference in the criminal justice system says the timelines outlined for it to finalise its work are tight.
Justice Mbuyiseli Madlanga outlined the commission's next steps at a media briefing in Johannesburg.
While Madlanga says there is no confirmed venue and start date yet, work is already underway.
President Cyril Ramaphosa gazetted the commission's terms of reference last week.
It follows KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi's explosive claims.
Justice Madlanga says he hopes the commission will begin its work sometime in August.
