Senona testimony at Madlanga Commission deferred

PRETORIA – Embattled KZN Hawks head Leseja Senona is no longer required to appear before the Madlanga Commission this week.

The Commission has given no reasons but this comes after Senona had objected to his expected appearance on Friday.

He argues he has already answered questions. He also said he was unavailable on 8 May because he will be attending his disciplinary hearing on the same day.

The top cop’s legal team also raised concerns over procedural flaws by the Commission.

On Tuesday,  Hawks member Hendrik Flynn, who is before the Commission implicated Senona in the events leading to the theft of 541kg worth of drugs from the DPCI offices in Port Shepstone.

Senona allegedly broke protocol regarding the storage.
