Senzo Meyiwa's mother demands answers as trial drags on

DURBAN - Senzo Meyiwa's mother is calling on those who were present during her son's killing to speak out.

It's been 11 years since the Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana captain was slain.

His grieving mother and the Meyiwa family expressed doubt that the ongoing trial will result in justice, as those in the house at the time haven't been called to testify.

Echoing her cries for justice, fans visited the Meyiwa family home in Umlazi to support the family and celebrate his life.

The Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana captain was gunned down in his then-girlfriend’s house in Vosloorus on 26 October 2014.

Although the state has wrapped its case, the Meyiwas reiterated their call for Kelly Khumalo, her mother Ntombi and Longwe Twala to tell the truth about how their son died.

For the family, the legal labyrinth has only exacerbated their pain and suffering.
