PIETERMARITZBURG - Mop-up operations are underway in KwaZulu-Natal.
Rain, snow and strong winds wreaked havoc, injuring several people, damaging homes, schools, and other infrastructure.
The KZN CoGTA has dispatched a disaster management team to all affected areas.
"When the damaging winds struck the province, a large number of households were affected," said spokesperson Senzo Mzila.
"About six districts have been affected; the main one is Ugu district."
Mzila said relief items are being distributed to various municipalities.
