MTHATHA - The seats in the lecture halls where Walter Sisulu University students Sisonke Mbolekwa and Sithu Ndamase should have sat lie empty during end-of-year exams.
Ndamase was shot and critically wounded in March.
Weeks later, Mbolekwa was murdered at the Mthatha Campus.
The alleged perpetrator, residential manager Manelisi Mampane, is now out on bail after a brief appearance in the Mthatha magistrateās court on Thursday.
Mampane is expected back in court on 12 December.
Walter Sisulu University is making every effort to ensure a safe, supportive learning environment.
But for families devastated by the events of 2025, justice cannot come soon enough..
